On July 1 and 2, heavy clashes between the Russian military and Kiev forces continued in Donetsk and several other sectors.
In Donetsk, the fighting was focused near the city of Bakhmut. Kiev forces made some tactical gains in the vicinity of the nearby village of Kleshevka. However, it failed to capture any key position. New video footage from the sector showed the destruction of several Ukrainian armorToretsked vehicles in one of the main roads leading to Bakhmut.
Moreover, Kiev forces attempted to advance near the towns of Mariinka and Adeevka. Artillery duels were also reported near the towns of Gorlovka, Toretsk and New York.
Meanwhile in the Zaphorohey sector, the Russian military clashes with Kiev forces near the town of Nesteryanka and in several areas. Video footage of the clashes surfaced online.
In the Kherson sectors, clashes continued near the Antonovsky Bridge where Kiev forces made more attempts to establish a stronghold on the left bank of the Dnieper River.
The Russian Zapad Group of Forces announced that it had launched nine strikes against gatherings of manpower and equipment of Kiev forces in the Kupyansk direction. The group’s artillery also thwarted two attempts to rotate Ukrianian units near the villages of Sinkovka and Kamenka.
In addition, Kiev forces made two attempts to attack the positions of our troops near the settlement of Novoselovskoe. Artillery fire forces the attackers to retreat.
