The Russian military had launched an attack with long-range sea-based high-precision weapons strike against ammunition depots of Kiev forces, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced on July 13.
In a statement, the ministry said that all designated targets were “neutralized” in the attack, without providing any additional details.
The ministry also said that a new wave of Ukrainian attacks was repelled in the directions of Donetsk, Krasny Liman and South Donetsk.
In Donetsk direction, the Russian Yug Group of Forces repelled a total of 16 close to Vesyoloye, Krasnogorovka, Severnoye, Novomikhailovka and Maryinka. The group also suppressed the activities of a sabotage and reconnaissance group near Kurdyumovka.
Ukrainian losses in this direction amounted to 480 troops, six pickup trucks, three Polish-made Krab self-propelled howitzers, as well as Msta-B and D-30 howitzers, according to the ministry, who also said that an American-made AN/TPQ-50 counter-battery radar was destroyed close to Predtechino.
Meanwhile in the Krasny Liman direction, the Russian Tsentr Group of Forces attacked the 63rd, 66th and 67th Mechanised Brigades of Kiev forces close to Torskoye, Karmazinovka and Kuzmino. Moreover, three attacks were repelled close to Chervonaya Dibrova and Kremennaya.
According to the ministry, Kiev forces lost 90 troops, four armored fighting vehicles, four pickup trucks, an Akatsiya self-propelled artillery system, and a D-30 howitzer in this direction.
In the South Donetsk direction, the Russian Vostok Group of Forces foiled the attempts by Kiev forces to launch two attacks close to Rovnopol and Novodonetskoye.
The situation in other directions, according to the statement of the Russian MoD:
In the Zaporozhye direction, the coordinated actions of Russian troops defeated a manpower and hardware concentration area of the AFU 128th Mountain Assault Brigade near Pyatikhatki (Zaporozhye region), and also repelled an attack by the enemy units of the 65th Mechanised Brigade near Rabotino (Zaporozhye region).
The enemy losses were over 180 Ukrainian servicemen, 1 tank, 5 armored fighting vehicles, 2 motor vehicles, 1 U.K-manufactured AS90 Braveheart self-propelled artillery system, 2 Msta-B howitzers, 3 D-20 guns, 1 Gvozdika self-propelled artillery system, and 1 Grad MLRS.
In the Kupyansk direction, the attacks, launched by Operational-Tactical and Army Aviation, as well as artillery of the Zapad Group of Forces, have resulted in the neutralization of the enemy manpower and hardware close to Krasnoye Pervoye, Liman, Pervy (Kharkov region), and Novosylovskoye (Lugansk People’s Republic).
The enemy losses were up to 30 Ukrainian servicemen, 2 armored personnel carriers, 2 motor vehicles, 1 D-20 howitzer, and 2 Gvozdika self-propelled artillery systems.
In the Kherson direction, the enemy losses were up to 70 Ukrainian servicemen, 1 armored fighting vehicle, 3 motor vehicles, as well as 2 self-propelled artillery systems: Akatsiya and Gvozdika.
Operational-Tactical and Army aviation, Missile Troops and Artillery of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation have neutralized 73 AFU artillery units at their firing positions, manpower and hardware in 96 areas.
Ammunition depots of the AFU 28th Mechanised Brigade and the 125th Territorial Defence Brigade have been destroyed close to Kurdyumovka and Yampol (Donetsk People’s Republic).
Air defense units have shot down 11 projectiles launched by HIMARS MLRS.
In addition, 14 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles have been destroyed close to Lyubimovka, Urozhaynoye (Zaporozhye region), Petrovskoye, Yakovlevka, Soledar, Zaitsevo (Donetsk People’s Republic), Verkhnekamenka, Chevonopopovka and Kremennaya (Lugansk People’s Republic).
In total, 455 airplanes, 242 helicopters, 4,995 unmanned aerial vehicles, 426 air defense missile systems, 10,687 tanks and other armored fighting vehicles, 1,138 fighting vehicles equipped with MLRS, 5,440 field artillery cannons and mortars, as well as 11,646 special military motor vehicles have been destroyed during the special military operation.
In addition, two new videos from the battlefield show recent strikes on Ukrainian armored vehicles by Russian Ka-52 attack helicopters and troops. Two other videos show the destruction of an early warning radar of Kiev forces with a Lancet loitering munition, as well as a strike with an FPV suicide drone against an American-made Bradley infantry fighting vehicle.
Nearly five weeks into their counteroffensive, Kiev forces are yet to make any meaningful gains on the ground. Despite sustaining heavy losses, the forces are still bogged down several kilometers away from the Russian military’s first line of defense.
