A Facebook (FB) video claimed that a tsunami occurred after the 7.6 magnitude earthquake that struck Japan on Jan. 1. This is not true. The original clip was taken by TV Asahi following a 9.0 earthquake that hit northeastern Japan on March 11, 2011.
Uploaded by FB page Pitikniboy BLOG, the erroneous video received around 22,500 interactions.
