There is a video of broadcaster Jessica Soho supposedly endorsing a product for ovarian cancer circulating on Facebook (FB). This is fake and uses clips manipulated through artificial intelligence (AI).
Uploaded on March 17, the three-minute and 52-second video contained clips supposedly from the program Kapuso Mo Jessica Soho promoting the product DTX500 that allegedly helps remove cancer cells, normalize sugar levels and reduce stress, among others.
The text in the video read:
“BUKOL SA MATRES: Paano Maalis Ang Ovarian Cyst (CYST IN THE UTERUS: How to Remove Ovarian Cyst). IT’S BETTER [TO BE] SAFE THAN SORRY. LIGTAS – MABISA – MATIPID (SAFE, EFFECTIVE AND CHEAP), RECOMMENDED BY DOCTORS, CASH ON DELIVERY (COD).”
Soho can be heard narrating about a cancer patient allegedly healed by the product. Part of the footage had Soho supposedly saying:
“Ang DTX500 daw ay makakatulong sa malubha niyang sakit. Agad siyang bumili para masubukan kung ito ba ay epektibo talaga. Matapos ang isang halos dalawang buwan, unti-unti raw bumuti ang pakiramdam niya, hanggang nalampasan na niya ang taning na binigay sa kaniya ng mga doctor
(DTX500 is said to help ease her severe illness. She immediately bought it to test if it was really effective. After about two months, she gradually felt better, until she went past the time the doctors said she would live).”
This is yet another fake advertisement for an unregistered product. The uploader used AI tools to manipulate old clips from Soho’s show and imitate the broadcaster’s voice.
Clips from the Oct. 23, 2017 Kapuso Mo Jessica Soho’s segment on the alleged health benefits of Noni fruits were used with false context. No food supplements were endorsed in the segment.
AI audio fakes were used to imitate the broadcaster talking, reading a slightly altered script from the original episode. Soho’s video clips were AI-manipulated to match the fake audio.
DTX500 is not a drug or food product registered with the Food and Drug Administration.
The video’s thumbnail also used an altered photo of Soho holding awards received by the show.
The FB post further leads netizens to a website (dtxherbal.store) that collects netizens’ personal information for them to avail themselves of the product.
GMA Integrated News earlier released a report on their anchors being used in AI-manipulated content that sells products.

The post by the FB page Dr. Mico Bacario (created on Feb. 29, 2024) garnered 1,000 reactions, 208 comments, 239 shares and 85,000 views. The page also uses a photo of a different Filipino doctor.
