Israeli Warplanes Hit Aleppo International Airport

On the evening of May 1, Israeli warplanes launched strikes on the outskirts of the city of Aleppo in Syria. As a result of the attack, one servicemen of the SAA was killed, seven more people were injured, including two civilians.

The airport is out of service due to serious damage to the runway.

 

 

The Russian Center for Reconciliation of Warring Parties in the Arab Republic reported that the strikes were carried out about 11.30 p.m. Two F-16 fighter jets of the Israeli Air Force launched rocket and bomb attacks on civilian infrastructure facilities in Aleppo province.

According SANA’s military sources, the airport and several facilities on the outskirts of Aleppo were the targets of the strike. According to other sources, the Syrian air defense system shot down most of the missiles.

Another Israeli attack took place on April 29. A civilian fuel station caught fire, three civilians were wounded when a series of Israeli strikes hit the outskirts of the Syrian city of Homs. LINK
