- On May 29, Qasim al-Aarji, Iraq’s national security adviser, met and discussed with Ali Akbar Ahmadian, secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council in Tehran;
- On May 27, Qasim al-Aarji, Iraq’s national security adviser, headed a security delegation which entered Sulaimaniyah to review measures related to the implementation of the security memorandum between Iran and Iraq regarding border security;
- On May 26, the National Intelligence Service of Iraq arrested an ISIS member in Baghdad;
- 155 ISIS terrorists were killed as a result of operations of the Iraqi Armed Forces since the formation of the current Iraqi government, according to Tahsin al-Khafaji, the spokesman of the Iraqi Joint Operations Command.
