Kiev Attempted Another Attack On Russian Border Belgorod Region

Destroyed Ukrainian military equipment

On the morning of June 1, the Russian Ministry of Defence reported that Ukrainian forces attempted another attack on the Russian settlements in the  border Belgorod region. The attempt to cross the border continue amid the constant heavy shelling of civilian villages by Ukrainian artillery.

This morning, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, together with units of the Border Service and other units of the FSB of Russia, thwarted another attempt by the Kiev regime to carry out a terrorist act against the civilian population of the city of Shebekino in the Belgorod region.

At about 3 a.m. Moscow time, after intensive shelling of civilian facilities in the Belgorod region, Ukrainian terrorist formations of up to two motorized infantry companies reinforced with tanks attempted to invade the territory of the Russian Federation from two directions: near the settlement of Novaya Tavolzhanka and the automobile border checkpoint Shebekino.

Reinforcement of the AFU in the area was spotted days ago. The Russian military took all necessary means to protect the border. As a result, Ukrainian attack failed.

“Russian servicemen repelled three attacks. Russian aircraft of the Western Military District launched eleven strikes on the enemy. Rocket troops and artillery completed 77 fire missions, heavy flamethrower systems delivered two strikes.” the Russian Ministry of Defence reported.

Ukrainian forces suffered heavy losses and were forced to step back. No violations of the Russian state border were allowed.

More than 30 Ukrainian terrorists, four armored combat vehicles, a Grad multiple launch rocket system and one pickup truck were destroyed on the Ukrainian border territory.

As the previous Ukrainian attacks, Kiev’s forces were advancing under the flag of the “Russian Volunteer Corps” and the “Freedom of Russia Legion”. These units are headed by fugitive Russian citizens, who left the country years ago to support the coup in Ukraine, inspired by Nazi ideology of the ruling regime in Kiev. Today, these military formations were created and are coordinated by London in order to legalize the use of NATO weapons on the Russian territory and simulate the resistance of former Russian citizens against the Moscow’s policy. The so-called Russian ‘traitors’ are now used by the West as cannon fodder in order to distract the public opinion from Kiev’s losses with military senseless attacks on the Russian border.

The previous ground offensive in the Belgorod region took place on May 22, immediately after the AFU lost Bakhmut. LINK, LINK, LINK, LINK

Civilian bus hit by the AFU. Fortunately, there were no people inside during the attack

Military operations are accompanied by massive shelling by Ukrainian artillery of Russian border towns and villages. In recent days, Ukrainian strikes have intensified, and the Shebekino district in the Belgorod region is being attacked as often as the Donetsk urban agglomeration.  At least eight civilians were wounded last night alone. The evacuation of citizens continues. At this time, Ukrainians are ruthlessly targeting civilian buses used to take people out of the shelling.
