On June 27, a British Storm Shadow missile struck the city of Kramatorsk which is under the control of the Ukrainian military in the DPR. Judging by the footage from the spot, the missile likely failed and was mistakenly fired by Ukrainian aircraft.

The incident took place on the afternoon when the Ukrainian Air Force attempted to strike at the territory controlled by the Russian Armed Forces, but the missile suddenly changed its trajectory, resulting in a strike on Kramatorsk.

On June 19, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported that the Russian military marks a lack of skills of the Ukrainian military for use of their own equipment and weapons. For example, that day two Su-25 attack aircraft of the Ukrainian Air Force struck Ukrainian military positions near the village of Shirokoye in the Dnipropetrovsk region.
