Kiev forces continue to sustain heavy human and material losses while attempting to advance as a part of their so-called spring counteroffensive.

The Russian Vostok Group of Forces said on July 14 that its units suppressed the activities of a Ukrainian reconnaissance group near Novodonetskoye and foiled an attempt to conduct combat reconnaissance close to Ravnopol in the South Donetsk direction.

In addition, the group destroyed a number of pickup trucks east of Oktyabr state farm and disrupted an attempt to rotate units inMakarovka. The group’s aviation also targeted a gathering of Ukrainian troops and armored vehicles who were preparing to launch an attack close to Makarovka.

During counter-battery warfare, the group’ artillery managed to destroy two Msta-B towed howitzers close to Zelenoye Pole and Vremevka.

In the Zaporozhye direction, the Vostok Group of Forces repelled several attacks near Rabotino, Pyatikhatki and north of Zherebyanka. A main battle tank, an armored vehicle and several pickup trucks were destroyed. Three howitzers were also destroyed in Orekhov, Stepnogorsk and Temirovka.

New videos from this direction show a number of destroyed Ukrainian tanks and armored vehicles as well as a vehicle being hit by a landmine.

Two other videos from an unspecified direction showed Russian armored units engaging Kiev forces and some recent Ukrainian material losses.

Videos showing artillery strikes against Ukrainian equipment near Bakhmut in Donetsk and the destruction of a M-55S tank supplied by Slovenia near Kremennaya also surfaced online.

In addition, a video showed a Russian Mi-28NM attack helicopter armed with LMUR stand-off precision-guided missiles flying near the front.

Early on July 14, there were also reports of a Russian attack with Geran suicide drones against high-value targets of Kiev forces in the Krivoy Rog region. Videos from the region showed what appears to be blasts and fires.

Kiev forces, who launched their counteroffensive 40 days ago, are still struggling to make any meaningful gains on the ground. Meanwhile, their human and material losses are mounting. Despite this, the counteroffensive will likely continue for political reasons.
