Kyiv Regroups Forces And Launches New Attack In South Donetsk Sector

Kyiv’s forces have launched a new attempt to advance in in the South Donetsk sector. The attack is taking place in the direction of the village of Novodonetskoe, west of Ugledar town.

After the failure of the previous advance supported by large number of heavy military equipment, the Kyiv regime seems to be updated its ‘strategy’ once again. Overhyped ‘NATO standards’ are once again thrown away and Kyiv once again employs a large number of infantry as the main attack power.

“The enemy decided to change tactics: instead of an armored herd in numbers almost exceeding the number of the defenders of Novodonetsk, he moves on light armor as close as possible to the village, deploys infantry intended for the assault, and returns the armor for a new batch [of infantry]. Well, this is not a counter-battery fight – therefore, our artillery reaches the enemy infantry, defeats it, and the following picture is observed: someone breaks through to the outskirts of houses, someone remains lying in the field, and someone starts to run. To the fleeing, when they are already running back a decent distance, the armor immediately moves, loads them – and again into battle,” Deputy Head of the Main Directorate of the Russian Guard for the DPR Alexander Khodakovsky wrote on his Telegram channel.

There is nothing new in this approach. Kyiv has no shortage of cannon fodder, while NATO-supplied military equipment is considered a valuable asset (and may cause some PR setbacks if it’s burned on cameras).

Meanwhile, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that Russian forces repelled an attempt of the Kyiv regime to retake positions that they had lost in the Krasny Liman sector.

Report by Press Centre Chief of Tsentr Group of Forces

Su-25 attack aircraft of the Centre Group of Forces carried out missile strikes on three groups of the AFU 81st Airmobile Brigade, which attempted to regain lost positions in Krasny Liman direction.

In Svatovsk direction, artillery fire of the Group hit the positions of the AFU 66th Mechaniaed Brigade.

In the course of counter-battery warfare, two D-30 and Msta-B guns as well as four enemy ammunition supply trucks were destroyed.

Surface-to-ait missile systems destroyed unmanned aerial vehicles and HIMARS MLRS projectile near Novovodyanoye.

Su-34 aircraft crews bombed an ammunition depot, a command and observation post and six enemy strongholds close to Petrovskoye, Nevskoye and Torskoye.

The first days of the widely-promoted Ukrainian ‘counter-offensive’ has led to close to zero notable successes for the Kyiv regime. However, the battle continues and more active offensive actions by Kyiv’s forces are expected in the coming days.
