Russian Army Launches More Strikes, Repels New Wave Of Ukrainian Attacks (Videos)

The Russian military had delivered a new series of retaliatory strikes against production workshops and depots storing Ukrainian naval drones in Odessa and Ilyichyovsk over the past day, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced on July 20.

“Last night, the Russian Armed Forces continued delivering retaliatory strikes by seaborne and air-launched high-precision weapons against the production workshops and storage sites of drone boats in the areas of the city of Odessa and Ilyichyovsk in the Odessa Region,” a spokesman for the ministry Lieutenant-General Igor Konashenkov said.

The Russian military also destroyed fuel infrastructure sites and ammunition depots of Kiev forces in Nikolayev, the spokesman said.

“The goal of the strikes was achieved. All the designated targets were destroyed,” the spokesman stressed.

The ministry also announced that the Russian military had repelled a new wave of Ukrainian attacks in the directions of Donetsk, Krasny Liman and South Donetsk.

In the Donetsk direction, the Russian Yug Group of Forces repelled 16 attacks near Belogorovka, Pervomayskoye, Vesyoloye, Krasnogorovka, Maryinka and north of Kleshcheevka. The group also hit gatherings of manpower and equipment close to Bogdanovka, Chasov Yar and Dyleevka.

Ukrainian losses in this direction amounted to 210 troops, an armored fighting vehicle, three motor vehicles, an American-made M777 towed howitzer, Akatsiya and Gvozdika self-propelled howitzers, as well as D-30, D-20 and Msta-B towed guns, according to the ministry.

In addition, two ammunition depots of Ukraine’s 81st Airmobile and 110th Mechanized Brigades were destroyed near Serebryanka and Avdeevka.

Meanwhile in the Kupyansk direction, the Russian Zapad Group of Forces neutralized gatherings of manpower and equipment of Kiev forces near Molchanovo, Kislovka and Stelmakhovka. The group also suppressed the activities of a Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance group close to Ivanovka.

Kiev forces lost 110 troops, an infantry fighting vehicle, four motor vehicles, as well as Msta-B and D-20 howitzers in this direction, the ministry said.

In the Krasny Liman direction, the Russian Tsentr Group of Forces repelled two Ukrainian attacks northwest of Chervonaya Dibrova. A sabotage and reconnaissance group was also eliminated near Kremennaya. In addition, the group launched air and artillery strikes against units of 21st, 63rd and 67th Mechanized Brigades of Kiev forces close to Yampolovka, Torskoye and Serebryanskoye forestry.

The ministry said that up to 60 Ukrainian troops, an infantry fighting vehicle, two armored fighting vehicles, three motor vehicles, 1a Gvozdika self-propelled howitzer and two D-30 towed howitzers were neutralized in this direction.

In the South Donetsk direction, the Russian Vostok Group of Forces repelled two attacks near Staromayorskoye and Urozhaynoye. Two gatherings of manpower and equipment near Makarovka and Levadnoye were also targeted.

The situation in other directions, according to the statement of the Russian MoD:

In the Zaporozhye direction, AFU units have been hit close to Novodanilovka and Lobkovoye (Zaporozhye region).

2 Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance groups have been thwarted near Charivnoye and Mirnoye (Zaporozhye region).

The enemy losses were up to 170 Ukrainian servicemen, 6 tanks, 3 armored fighting vehicles, 2 motor vehicles, as well as Msta-B and D-20 howitzers.

In the Kherson direction, the enemy losses were up to 45 Ukrainian servicemen, 1 armored fighting vehicle, 3 pickup trucks, as well as 1 D-30 howitzer.

Operational-Tactical and Army aviation, Missile Troops and Artillery of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation have neutralized 94 AFU artillery units at their firing positions, manpower and hardware in 103 areas.

1 signal node of the AFU 110th Mechanised Brigade and an enemy command post 63rd Mechanised Brigade have been hit near Avdeevka and Torskoye (Donetsk People’s Republic).

Air defense facilities have shot down 7 projectiles launched by HIMARS MLRS.

In addition, 32 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles have been destroyed close to Tokarevka (Kharkov region), Zaliman (Lugansk People’s Republic), Novoandreevka, Staromlynovka, Orlinskoye, Vasilyevka (Donetsk People’s Republic), Vodyanoye, Konstantinovka, Tokmak (Zaporozhye region), Novaya Kakhovka and Podstepnoye (Kherson region).

In total, 456 airplanes, 243 helicopters, 5,140 unmanned aerial vehicles, 426 air defense missile systems, 10,776 tanks and other armored fighting vehicles, 1,139 fighting vehicles equipped with MLRS, 5,537 field artillery cannons and mortars, as well as 11,767 special military motor vehicles have been destroyed during the special military operation.

Meanwhile, a video that surfaced online showed a recent failed Ukrainian attack near Ugledar in the Donetsk direction. During the attack, several infantry fighting vehicles and tanks were destroyed by Russian forces.

Two other news videos show a completely destroyed German-made Leopard 2 tank and another one being destroyed by a Russian T-72B3 tank.

All in all, Kiev forces continue to sustain heavy losses without making any meaningful gains on the ground. The forces are still bogged down kilometers away from the Russian military’s first line of defense. Despite this failure, the Kiev regime will not likely halt the operation any time soon.
