On June 9, the Russian Ministry of Defense provided details on recent operations in Ukraine and losses inflicted on Kiev forces.

In a statement, the ministry said that a long-range maritime and airborne high-precision strike against NATO ammunition, weapons, and military equipment depots, including unmanned aerial vehicles, last night.

“The strikes disrupted the supply of groups of Ukrainian troops in the areas of combat operations,” the ministry added.

According to the statement, Kiev forces continued their attempts to launch offensive operations in South Donetsk and Zaporozhye directions during the past 24 hours.

In the area of the Vremievsky salient, units of the Vostok Group of Forces repelled four attacks launched by up to two battalion tactical groups reinforced with tanks in the areas of Levadnoye in the Zaporozhye region as well as in the areas of Novoselka, Storozhevoye, and Neskuchnoye in the Donetsk region.

In addition, in the Zaporozhye direction, two attacks by Kiev forces in the areas of Novodanilovka and Malaya Tokmachka were repelled by decisive and competent actions of Russian troops, air strikes and artillery fire during the day.

Two clusters of manpower and hardware of the 47th Mechanised Brigade of Kiev forces were also hit by heavy flamethrowers south of Orekhov in the same direction.

Meanwhile, the Operational-Tactical Aviation of the Vostok Group of Forces inflicted fire damage against reserves of Kiev forces close to Gulyai Pole, Omelnik, and Preobrazhenka in Zaporozhye.

According to the ministry, the total losses of Kiev forces in these directions during the day have amounted to 680 Ukrainian troops, 35 tanks, 11 infantry fighting vehicles (IFVs), 19 armored fighting vehicles, six motor vehicles, including three HMMWVs, as well as a French-made Cezar self-propelled artillery system.

In the Donetsk direction, the most active fighting between the Russian military and Kiev forces took place between the towns of Mariynka and Avdeevka.

The Yug Group of Forces successfully repelled six attacks by units of the 110th mechanized, 59th motorized infantry and 79th airborne brigades of Kiev close to Khimik, Krasnogorovka, Pervomaiskoye, and the northern edge of Mariynka in Donetsk. There were no incursions into Russia’s defense.

The losses of Kiev forces during the day have amounted to up to 410 Ukrainian troops, four tanks, eight infantry fighting vehicles, seven motor vehicles, one U.S.-made M777 artillery system, and one Msta-B howitzer, the ministry said in its statement.

Moreover, an ammunition depot of the 79th Air Assault Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces was hit close to Krasnogorovka.

The situation in other directions, according to the statement of the Russian MoD:

In Krasny Liman direction, Russian aviation, artillery, and heavy flamethrower systems of the Tsentr Group of Forces hit units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) close to Nevskoye (Lugansk People’s Republic), Yampolovka, and Grigorovka (Donetsk People’s Republic).

One sabotage and reconnaissance group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has been disabled close to Chervonaya Dibrova (Lugansk People’s Republic).

The enemy has suffered losses of over 50 Ukrainian troops, one armored fighting vehicle, two motor vehicles, two Gvozdika self-propelled artillery systems, and one D-20 howitzer in this direction in the past 24 hours.

A U.S.-made AN/TPQ-37 counterbattery radar station was destroyed near Serebryanka (Donetsk People’s Republic).

In Kherson direction, the enemy suffered the losses of up to 70 Ukrainian troops, 10 armored fighting vehicles, seven motor vehicles, one Grad MLRS vehicle, one Akatsiya self-propelled artillery unit, and one D-30 howitzer.

Operational-Tactical and Army aviation, Missile Troops and Artillery of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation have neutralized 97 AFU artillery units at their firing positions, enemy manpower and hardware in 126 areas.

Two command and observation posts of the 24th Mechanised Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have been engaged close to Dzerzhinsk (Donetsk People’s Republic).

A communication station of the 102nd Territorial Defence Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces has been destroyed near Gulyai Pole (Zaporozhye region).

A MiG-29 aircraft of the Ukrainian Air Force has been shot down by Russian fighter jet close to Novoye Zaporozhye (Zaporozhye region) in an aerial battle.

Russian air defense facilities have shot down one Su-25 airplane of Ukrainian Air Force near Babino (Kherson region).

Air defense forces have intercepted two Storm Shadow cruise missiles and 14 HIMARS MLRS projectiles during the day.

In addition, 13 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles were destroyed in the areas of Ogurtsovo, Olshana (Kharkov region), Zhitlovka (Lugansk People’s Republic), Volodino, Krasnogorovka (Donetsk People’s Republic), Sladkaya Balka (Zaporozhye region), Bratolyubovka, Peschanoye, and Vasilyevka (Kherson region).

In total, 440 airplanes and 238 helicopters, 4,555 unmanned aerial vehicles, 424 air defense missile systems, 9,798 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,122 combat vehicles equipped with MRLS, 5,062 field artillery cannons and mortars, as well as 10,838 units of special military equipment have been destroyed during the special military operation.

Meanwhile, more videos surfaced online documenting recent Ukrainian losses in the directions of Zaporozhye and Donetsk which were the most active.

Some videos show Russian attack helicopters and tank hunters engaging Ukrainian equipment, including Leopard 2 main battle tanks and Bradley IFVs, as well as armored vehicles which were abandoned by Kiev forces after recent failed attacks. Others show a damaged Ukrainian Leopard 2 and a series of attacks with suicide drones against Kiev forces.

Kiev forces suffered catastrophic losses while attempting to advance near Orekhov village in Zaporozhye a day earlier, in the framework of its so-called spring counteroffensive.

Since the start of the counteroffensive on June 4, Ukraine made no gains whatsoever on the group. Russian defense lines remain intact. Despite suffering heavy losses, the Kiev regime will likely push its forces to launch more attacks in the upcoming days in order to appease its backers in NATO.
