On June 30, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that several new attacks by Kiev forces in the sectors of Donetsk, Krasnolimansk, South-Donetsk and Kupyansk were repelled.
In a statement, the ministry said that five attacks were repelled by Russian forces near Belogorovka, Krasnoye, Severnoye, Pervomayskoye and Kamenka in the Donetsk direction.
Air and artillery strikes in the direction also destroyed up to 160 Ukrainian troops, three armored combat vehicles, five high-mobility vehicles, a German-made Panzerhaubitze 2000 self-propelled howitzer and a Gvozdika self-propelled howitzer.
Meanwhile, in the Krasnolimansky direction, Russian forces repelled a Ukrainian attack near Kuzmino in the Luhansk region. In addition, Ukrainian military formations were targeted near Terny, Torskoye in the Donetsk region as well as near Chervonopopovka, Nevskoye Chervonaya Dibrova of Luhansk. Furthermore, in the area of the village of Chervonaya Dibrova, the activities of the Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance group were disrupted.
More than 50 Ukrainian troops, two armored combat vehicles, three high-mobility vehicles, two D-30 and one D-20 howitzers as well as a Gvozdika self-propelled howitzer were destroyed in this direction, according to the minister.
In the South-Donetsk direction, in the area of the Vremevsky ledge, a Ukrainian attack was repelled by Russian forces near Staromayorskoe. Near the village of Levadne in the Zaporizhia region, Ukrainian gathering of manpower and equipment were targeted.
Russia forces also thwarted an attempt by the enemy to carry out reconnaissance in force and destroyed a Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance group near Rabotino in the Zaporozhye direction.
The ministry said that Ukrainian losses in these areas amounted to up to 120 troops, four armored combat vehicles, two high-mobility vehicles, an American-made M777 towed howitzer, as well as Msta-B and D-20 howitzers.
In the Kupyansk direction, Russian forces repelled two additional attacks by Kiev forces near Novoselovskoye in Luhansk. Gatherings of manpower and equipment were also targeted near Sinkovka, Kamenka, Kharkiv region, Novoselovskoye and Stelmakhivka. Moverover, the activities of a Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance group were suppressed near Olshana in the Kharkiv region. 50 Ukrainian troops, two armored fighting vehicles and two cars were neutralized in this direction, according to the ministry.
The situation in other directions, according to the statement of the Russian MoD:
In the Kherson direction, as a result of fire damage, up to 45 Ukrainian servicemen, four vehicles, a Grad MLRS combat vehicle, two American-made M777 howitzers, and an Msta-B howitzer were destroyed during the day.
Operational-tactical and army aviation, missile forces and artillery of groups of troops of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation during the day defeated 86 artillery units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine at firing positions, manpower and military equipment in 108 districts.
Air defenses intercepted seven HIMARS multiple rocket launchers. In addition, ten Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles were destroyed in the areas of the settlements of Tokmak, Mirne, Novoye, Chumatskoye and Chervonoarmeyskoye of the Zaporozhye region, as well as Holaya Pristan of the Kherson region.
In total, since the beginning of the special military operation, 444 aircraft, 240 helicopters, 4,833 unmanned aerial vehicles, 426 anti-aircraft missile systems, 10,413 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,134 combat vehicles of multiple launch rocket systems, 5,281 field artillery pieces and mortars, and also 11292 units of special military vehicles.
The Russian Ministry of Defense also released two videos documenting the recent strikes by Russian attack helicopters against Ukrainian armored vehicles as well as the destruction of a M777 howitzer by counter-battery fire.
The Ukrainian counteroffensive slowed down in recent days. However, this does not mean that it will end soon. Kiev forces are likely organizing and drafting plans to launch larger attacks against the Russian military in the upcoming days and weeks.
