Heavy battles are ongoing on the southern frontlines of Ukraine, where the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) continue bloody attempts ro break through Russian defences. While the Kiev regime declares new victories and the Ukrainian military claims control of new settlements, the situation on the battlefield does not change much.
On June 19, the AFU claimed their control of the village of Piatyhatky located to the west of Orehov. This is an important strongholds which paves the way for their further advance towards Vasilyevka located on the eastern bank of the Kakhovka water reservoir. It turned out that so far the AFU have failed to secure a stronghold in the village which is heavily shelled by Russian forces. Fierce battle for the control of Pyatikhatki continues. Suffering heavy losses, the Ukrainian military failed to expand the zone of their control in the area. All Ukrainian attempts to advance towards Zherebyanki failed.
In the Orehov area, the AFU continued attempts to attack near Malaya Tokmachka and Rabotino but failed to break through Russian defences. Suffering losses, Ukrainian groups were forced to retreat.
On June 19, a Ukrainian Mi-8 was shot down in the area.

The situation also remains unchanged in the area of Velikaya Novoselka, where the AFU are yet to secure their positions in the village of Makarivka. So far, the settlement remains in the gray zone and the Ukrainian grouping in the area is heavily shelled by Russian artillery.
Ukrainian attempts to attack on the eastern flank near Urozhainoe and Novodonetskoe only result in increasing losses of the AFU.
The Russian Arctic 80th brigade struck the area of accumulation of Ukrainian military personnel near Stanislav in the Kherson region. Aiming at the target was carried out by the Russian UAV “ZALA”:
The front lines along the Dnieper River in the Kherson region are inflamed by artillery duels. The villages of Korsunka, Krynka and Dneprany located on the eastern bank of the river are heavily shelled by the AFU. On the morning of June 20, the town of Novaya Kakhovka was targeted by four Ukrainian kamikaze drones. As a result of the attack, four civilians were wounded.
After the first attempts of the Ukrainian military to break through Russian defences by large-scale assaults failed iin the first days on Kiev’s counteroffensive, the AFU changed tactics. Over the past two weeks, the Ukrainian military has been launching regular attacks by smaller groups on tanks and armoured vehicles in an attempt to exhaust the Russian defences. The new tactics is also yet to bring any strategic results.
Two weeks of Ukrainian attacks have already resulted in the following losses of the AFU:
- up to 9,6000 servicemen
- 373 armoured vehicles, including US-made Bradleys, HMMWVs and British Strykers
- 172 tanks, including German Leopards and French AMX-10s
- 146 artillery systems, including Polish Krabs, German PzH 2000s, French Caezars, US-made M109s and M777

“Ukrainian troops continue attempts of offensive actions in the South Donetsk, Zaporozhye and Donetsk directions. At the same time, the Kiev regime uses a large number of Western weapons and elite formations, whose personnel were trained by NATO specialists.
Since June 4, the AFU has launched 263 attacks on the positions of Russian troops.
Thanks to the competent and selfless actions of our units, all of them were repulsed, the enemy did not achieve the goals.
According to the Russian Defense Minister, the command of the AFU plans to strike the territory of the Russian Federation, including Crimea, with HIMARS and Storm Shadow missiles.
“The use of these missiles outside the zone of a special military operation will mean a full-fledged involvement of the United States and Great Britain in the conflict and will entail immediate strikes on decision-making centers on the territory of Ukraine.”
