Tono ni Sara Duterte sa isyu ng confidential funds nagbago

Sinabi ni Vice President Sara Duterte noong Nobyembre 9 na hindi na niya ipipilit ang panukalang P650-million na confidential funds sa 2024 national budget para sa Office of the Vice President at Department of Education (DepEd) dahil nagiging sanhi daw ng pagkakawatak-watak ang isyu. 

Pagkambyo ito sa naunang pahayag ni Duterte noong Oktubre 4 na “kalaban ng bayan” ang sinumang kumokontra sa confidential funds para sa kanyang mga opisina.

Bagama’t ayaw na raw niya ng confidential funds, hiniling naman niya sa mga mambabatas na ilipat ang P150-million confidential funds ng DepEd sa National Learning Recovery Program ng ahensya.
