The Ukrainian military tries its best to expand the conflict to the Russian territory. Ukrainian forces continue daily attempts to take more photos in the Russian border villages in the Belgorod region in order to claim some victories in the media.

On the morning of June 2, another Ukrainian sabotage group attempted to cross Russian border in the Shebekino district in the Belgorod region. The attack was traditionally carried out by forces of the so-called Russian Volunteer Corps of the AFU.

Ukrainian saboteurs again attempted to reach the village of Novaya Tavolzhanka to take some photos. According to Russian military sources, at least two tanks crossed the border. However, the operation failed. Hit by Russian artillery and RPG fire, the first tank caught fire and fled back to Ukraine. The crew of the second tank was reportedly shelled when taking photos hiding near the buildings. Under heavy fire, the saboteurs escaped on foot and left the tank as a trophy for Russian border guards. The tanks in question are reportedly T-72B.

According to preliminary reports, at least two saboteurs were killed. The exact numbers of victims is yet to be revealed.

On their resources, Kiev’s militants admit that they are heavily shelled by Russian artillery during their operation and that they have suffered losses on Russian territory. Their previous attack took place on June 1. LINK In total, up to 135 Ukrainian saboteurs tried to break into the territory of the Belgorod region. They were equipped with armored vehicles and five tanks. The attack was preceded by an hour-long intensive artillery shelling of the Shebekino automobile checkpoint. However, the Ukrainian grouping was destroyed and failed to cross the border, suffering heavy losses.

So far, none of the Ukrainian attacks on Russian territory has led to any military results. They are mainly aimed to gain headlines in the media. Members of the so-called Russian Volunteer Corps continue paying for likes on the social media with lives of their comrads and expensive military equipment.
