US Activists Protest Adidas Wage Theft


LOOK: Activists in the US held a demonstration that shut down a “sustainability forum” featuring a corporate representative of Adidas in Portland, Oregon, USA on April 23. The organizers targeted this forum to bring attention to Adidas’s systemic wage theft of its garment workers worldwide and attempts the greenwash labor abuse.

The action was organized by the Adidas, Pay Your Workers campaign and was joined by a member of the Hulu garment factory in Cambodia who was recently fired for trying to unionize and as well as a member of CENTRAL-Center for Alliance Labor and Human Rights.

Organizations supporting the local action were the International League of People’s Struggle, international Women’s Alliance, Pacific Northwest People Over Profit coaltion, Machinists Union, Starbucks Workers United, and others
