On April 11, the Wagner PMS turned over control of the military positions on the flanks of Bakhmut front to the Russian Ministry of Defence.
The head of the Wagner Group confirmed the villages on the outskirts of Bakhmut came under control of the units of the Russian Ministry of Defence, while Wagner fighters are concentrated on the military operations on the streets of the city.
Prigozhin claimed that 80% of Bakhmut are under control of Russian forces.
We turned over control of the flanks in Bakhmut to the Russian Ministry of Defense. Today, the units of the Ministry of Defense, including the Airborne Forces, took both the right and left flanks. As far as I know, they have everything they need to organize defense and conduct offensive actions if necessary. Therefore, today Zaliznyanskoe, Sacco and Vanzetti, Nikolaevka and other settlements that have been stormed by the units of the Wagner PMC in recent months, they are in the area of responsibility of the Airborne Forces and other units of the Ministry of Defense.
In our turn, we are fully focused on Bakhmut, the part of the city where we continue to carry out our combat missions. More than 80% of the city is under our control, including all administrative centers, factories, plants, city administration, as you know.
There are the residential areas left with apartment buildings, where Ukrainian fortified their positions. There are tunnels under these apartment buildings. As I said before, the 3D war continues. Here is the part of Bakhmut that left under Ukrainian control.
Earlier, Yevgeny Prigozhin said that the victory of the Wagner PMC in the battle for Bakhmut would be a turning point in Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine.
The defense of the flanks by the units of the Russian Ministry of Defence will definitely allow the Wagner PMC strengthen their assault in the city and bring closer their victory in the battle for Bakhmut.
