The International Coalition for Human Rights in the Philippines invites you to register for our upcoming webinar, After the Guilty Verdict: Our Path Forward in Solidarity with the Philippines. The webinar will be held in two sessions, and will discuss the guilty verdict of the recent International People’s Tribunal and the role of the solidarity movement in combatting rising militarism and state terror.

The first session, aimed at the East Coast North America and Europe audience, will take place on June 27th, 2024, at 9am EDT / 3pm CEST. Click here to register for the first session.

The date and time of the second session, aimed at the Asia-Pacific and West Coast North America audience, will be announced later this week.

The International People’s Tribunal (IPT) is a quasi-judicial forum, previously convened in 2005, 2015, and 2018, which aims to investigate and address alleged war crimes and violations of International Humanitarian Law committed by the US-supported regimes in the Philippines.

In 2024, the IPT charged Defendants President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., former President Rodrigo Duterte, and US President Joe Biden with violations of International Humanitarian Law, or war crimes, against the Filipino people.

Our webinar will cover the 2024 IPT, including witness testimony, the Tribunal’s verdict and findings, and the perspective of ICHRP in responding to the verdict through international advocacy for human rights in the Philippines.
