Russian Army Strikes Ukrainian Command Posts In Donetsk, Repels Attacks In Other Sectors (Videos)

Russian forces successfully targeted the command and control posts of Ukraine’s Donetsk operational and tactical group, a spokesman for the Russian Ministry of Defense, Lieutenant General Igor Konashenkov, announced on July 1.

“Russia’s Armed Forces inflicted a strike with high-precision land-and sea-based weapons on the command posts of the Donetsk operational and tactical group,” the spokesman said, confirming that the targets were hit.

Konashenkov added that Kiev forces launched several new attacks in the Donetsk, Krasny Liman, and South Donetsk sectors over the past 24 hours.

In the Donetsk direction, the Russian Yug Group of Forces repelled 15 attacks close to Belogorovka, Artyomovsk, Pervomayskoye, Latochkino, Vodyanoye, and Veseloye. Ukraine lost
over 265 troops, one tank, two infantry fighting vehicles, eight motor vehicles, two Msta-B howitzers, and a D-20 howitzer during the failed attacks.

An ammunition depot of Ukraine’s 54th Mechanised Brigade located near Vyemka in Donetsk was also targeted by the Russian military.

Meanwhile in the Krasny Liman direction, the Russian Tsentr Group of Forces’ units, aviation, artillery, and heavy flamethrower systems inflicted losses on the 21st, 42nd, and 67th Mechanised Brigades of Kiev forces near Nevskoye, Kremennaya, and Chervonaya Dibrova in Luhansk. One Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance group was also neutralized close to Torskoye.

According to Konashenkov, Ukrainian losses in this direction amounted to 90 troops, two armored fighting vehicles, two pick-up trucks, one D-20 howitzer, and one Gvozdika self-propelled howitzer.

In South Donetsk, artillery and heavy flamethrower systems of the Russian Vostok Group of Forces repelled two Ukrainian attacks in the area of Staromayorskoye in Donetsk. Moverover, actions of two sabotage and reconnaissance groups were thwarted near Novodarovka and Rabotino in Zaporozhye.

The situation in other directions, according to the statement of the Russian MoD:

In the Zaporozhye direction, the dedicated and coordinated actions of the Russian troops repelled an AFU attack in the areas of Pyatikhatki (Zaporozhye region). Moreover, a unit of the 106th Territorial Defence Brigade was hit close to Lugovskoye (Zaporozhye region).

Up to 140 Ukrainian troops, three armored fighting vehicles, seven motor vehicles, two D-20 howitzers, and one Msta-b howitzer were eliminated in these directions during the day.

In the Kupyansk direction, Operational-Tactical and Army aviation and artillery of the Zapad Group of Forces have engaged the enemy manpower and hardware close to Timkovka, Topoli, and Berestovoye (Kharkov region).

One sabotage and reconnaissance group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has been disabled close to Novosyolovskoye (Lugansk People’s Republic).

The enemy’s losses amounted to more than 75 Ukrainian troops, three motor vehicles, as well as a D-30 howitzer.

In the Kherson direction, up to 30 Ukrainian troops, four motor vehicles, and one U.S.-made M777 artillery system have been neutralized over the past 24 hours.

In addition, a sabotage group of the Ukrainian Armed Forces was neutralized in an attempt to land in two motorboats on Antonovsky Island.

Operational-Tactical and Army aviation, Missile Troops and Artillery of the Russian Group of Forces have engaged 85 AFU artillery units at their fire positions, manpower, and military hardware in 102 areas during the day.

A facility storing fuel and military hardware for Zaporozhye Ukrainian force grouping was destroyed near Zaporozhye.

Russia’s air defense forces intercepted two Storm Shadow long-range cruise missiles and five HIMARS projectiles during the past 24 hours.

Moreover, 12 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles were obliterated in the areas of Artyomovsk, Soledar, Spornoye, and Volodino (Donetsk People’s Republic), Berdyansk and Balochki (Zaporozhye region).

In total, 444 airplanes and 240 helicopters, 4,845 unmanned aerial vehicles, 426 air defense missile systems, 10,430 tanks and other armored fighting vehicles, 1,134 combat vehicles equipped with MLRS, 5,291 field artillery cannons and mortars, as well as 11,324 units of special military equipment have been destroyed during the special military operation.

In addition, the Russian MoD released videos documenting some of the recent operations by Su-25 close air support jets as well as Mi-8 and Mi-35 attack helicopters.

Four weeks into their counteroffensive, Kiev forces are yet to reach the Russian military first line of defense in the South Donetsk and Zphoroye sectors despite sustaining heavy human and material losses. NATO trained and equipped troops are facing one setback after another.
