Seniors against corruption reiterated call for accountability

Seniors Kontra Kurakot (SKK) held anti-corruption mall walk at Fisher Mall along Quezon Avenue on June 27. Seniors wore shirts through the mall to give emphasis that everyone involved needs to be held accountable. They also carried with them packs of Piattos and Mary Grace shopping bags that was a symbolic allusion to “Mary Grace Piattos,” a name that was cited in the congressional investigations on the alleged misuse of confidential funds.

In a statement, SKK renewed its call for accountability of public officials involved in corruption, including Vice President Sara Duterte who is scheduled to face an impeachment trial in July. For the sake of public trust, they demanded accountability for public officials, regardless of their position or influence. (Photos by Martha Teodoro/Bulatlat)
