Shut Down APEC! Free Palestine!

The International League of Peoples’ Struggle Asia-Pacific (ILPS-AP) decries the inhumane and neoliberal policies of the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum as it continues to be a fascist tool in supporting the brutal genocide on Palestine and other Global conflicts.

The United States utilizes American weapons manufacturers, such as Boeing, a regular contributor to APEC, to procure military equipment that is subsequently used in wars and mass murder. Boeing supplies fighter jets, attack helicopters, and missiles, and its operations are bolstered by APEC members’ policies that perpetuate wars to sustain its global supply chain.

Israel’s existence and its actions are largely funded by the US and multinational corporations. The US has provided Israel with over $260 billion in aid, while oil companies like Chevron have invested heavily in Israel’s natural gas industry. This support has allowed Israel to maintain its occupation of Palestine and carry out its aggressive policies.

While the APEC forum takes place in San Francisco, USA. ILPS-AP also denounce the countries and APEC members who did not support the ceasfire in Gaza namely; Australia, Canada, Japan, Republic of Korea, the Philippines, and United States of America who continues to maintain the current status quo of plunder and bloodshed.

As of today, the Biden-backed, Netanyahu-led Zionist Israeli army has dropped 25,000 tonness of explosive on the Gaza Strip since Oct.7, or about 1.5 times the explosive force of the bomb dropped on Hiroshima, Japan in World War II, according to officials in the besieged Gaza strip.

According to the Gaza’s Health Ministry, more than 11,000 Palestinians have been killed, almost 50% of those murdered are children and babies, and thousands more wounded in Israeli air strikes on the Gaza Strip since October 7.

No to APEC!

From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free!
