US troops double to record high in Balikatan 2023

The biggest Balikatan military exercises combining air, land and sea drills among US and Philippine military troops are set to take place next week, featuring 17,000 soldiers and observers from other nations.

Under the Marcos Jr administration’s watch, the US fortifies its strategic Indo-Pacific positioning in the Philippines in a continuous bid versus China’s growing strength in the region and the globe.
